OMCRA - Parry Sound Marathon/Outrigger/Dragon Boat Race

A Paddling Extravaganza

We tried this for the first time last year and it was an interesting day for all. It is an amazing chance to see what other paddlers are doing and to stretch your skills by paddling in several boats in one day. The Dragon Boat races start at 9:00 am. The Outrigger events will take place at noon ( or later ) after the second round of DB races but before the third. You can organize a DB team or call Gord to get on a team. There are currently seats in the Parry Sound Canoe Club DB boat. It will be unique opportunity to show case our sports for spectators and to interest paddlers from various disciplines. the Outrigger course is on open water.

START and REGISTRATION: Parry Sound Town Beach. You will race off the beach. Dragon Boat races start at 9:00 am and the long races start at noon.

FEE: Fee: $5.00 per person (Dragon Boat registration seperate)

COURSE DESCRIPTION: On Georgian Bay,The 15 km OR course will be open for Womens, Mens, and Mixed OC2.
